Configure Remote Access From an iPad or iPhone

You can now look at your mobile device. Install the Remote Desktop app from the Apple App Store to use your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to connect to the computer. Open the application, and select Add PC from the menu by tapping the + button in the top-right corner.

Enter the computer's name or IP address in the PC Name section of the Add PC window. In the User Account field, enter the account name you want to use. If you prefer to enter the name manually every time for security reasons, leave the field set to "Ask When Required."

To provide a more practical designation for this relationship, provide a name in the Friendly Name area. Normally, you would leave the switch for Admin Mode off, but doing so connects you to a console session where you can control a Windows server. Right and left mouse buttons can be switched by selecting the Swap Mouse Buttons option.

If your company employs a Remote Desktop Gateway to secure remote connections, you would just need to enable and configure the option for Gateway in the Gateway section.

To access any functions on your device during a remote connection, swipe down to the Device & Audio Redirection section. On this device, you should probably direct the sound to play. If you intend to copy and paste information back and forth, you might also want to enable the clipboard. You can enable the microphone, camera, and remote storage as well. When finished, tap Save in the upper-right corner.

The programme will display an icon for the machine you want to visit. To establish the connection, tap that icon. When you try to access the computer for the first time, Remote Desktop could ask you to confirm your connection. Enable Tap Accept after selecting Don't ask me for connections to this machine again.
