When Windows 10 launched, numerous freaks had to get used to the minor skirmishes with it to test and make it more like Windows 7. Window 11 launched in 2021, and although there were some makeovers to the operating system, it wasn’t as significant of a change as Windows 7 to 10.

To make the transition a bit smoother, there are many tips for managing list settings within the launch menu to mimic Windows 7.

The first thing to note is that Windows 10 & 11 can display, as Windows 7 did, a list of recently opened apps or lines, but the approach is slightly different. To view the list, click an app’s icon in the All-Apps list in the launch menu or right-click the icon for an open app in the Window taskbar. These conducts will also display “jump lists” of the most common tasks within specific apps. Your interface may be different, but the instructions will be the same. 

Still, you’ll also see a list of constantly visited websites and a Task list If you right-click on a pipe in the launch menu. You can use your most habituated or recent apps as penstocks in the launch menu, but they will appear in the most habituated lists at the top.

Enabling the Recently Used Apps option from the Menu:

Depending on your settings, there is a possibility that you might not be able to see the below lists for the most used or recently opened apps. However, the option to view them is likely not enabled in Settings. If you can’t see the lists, turn on this option after clicking the launch button and click settings.

From the Launch menu > settings

Click the Personalization icon option

On your left-hand list, Select Start

From within the launch settings, enable Show recently opened particulars in Jump Lists on launch or the taskbar. Panel elect launch also clicks ON for Show recently Opened.

Still, the process is a little more straightforward if you use Windows 10 or 11 on a tablet or a different touchscreen device. To see recent apps or jumps lists, press and hold an app pipe and tap the Menu icon in the lower-right corner of the line to see these same lists.
