What distinguishes Windows' Sleep and hibernate functions?
All activities on the computer are suspended while it is in sleep mode, which saves Power. The laptop enters a low-power state, and any open files and programs are relocated to the system memory (RAM). It's comparable to stopping a DVD movie. Cause
You can rapidly resume regular, full-power functioning after waking the computer from sleep mode.
Resolution
Move the mouse or press any key on the keyboard to awaken a computer or monitor from Sleep or hibernation. If it doesn't work, wake the computer up by pressing the power button.
NOTE: Monitors will leave sleep mode when a computer sends a video signal. Check to see if the machine is not in hibernation or sleep mode if the monitor doesn't come out.
Select Settings after clicking Start.
Press System.
Press Power & Sleep.
Under Screen, select how long you want the computer to wait before turning the Screen off when you are not using the computer.
Choose how long you'd want the computer to wait before sleeping while not using it under Sleep.
How can I put my PC in sleep mode?
Choose Options > System > Power & Sleep > Additional power settings after choosing Start WinKey.
One of the following should be done:
Choose What the Power Buttons Do if you use a desktop, tablet, or laptop. Select Sleep next to When I press the power button, and then click Save changes.
Choose What Closing the Lid Does if you're using a laptop. Select Sleep next to When I Close the lid, and then click Save Changes.

Select Change settings currently unavailable, then select Choose what the power button does. If one is present, choose Save Adjustments after selecting the Hibernate checkbox under Shutdown options.
Select Start, followed by Power> Hibernate, to put your computer into hibernation.
Sleep consumes relatively little energy, your PC boots up more quickly, and you can pick up right where you left off. Because Windows automatically saves all of your work and turns off the PC if the battery is too low, you don't have to worry about losing it due to your battery running out. At the same time, you will be away from your PC for a little while, such as when you're getting a cup of coffee, use Sleep.
Many PCs (especially laptops and tablets) go to Sleep when the lid is closed or the power button is pressed.
If you want your computer to go to Sleep when the lid is closed, or the power button is pressed:
Choose the Control Panel from the search results after choosing Search on the taskbar.
Select Security and System.
Choose Change what the power buttons do from the Power Options section.
Choose Modify settings that aren't working right now.
Choose choices according to how you want Sleep to function:
When I close the lid in the On battery column for a laptop, expand the list under and choose Sleep. If desired, repeat for the Plugged column.
Expand the list for a desktop, tablet, or laptop. When I click the power button, I may choose Sleep in the On battery column. If desired, repeat for the Plugged column.
Select Save adjustments.
Hit the power button on your desktop, tablet, or laptop to put your PC to sleep or shut the lid on your computer.
You may typically restart working on a computer by clicking the power button. However, not every PC is created equal.
