If this doesn’t work, then you try something more advanced. Try resetting the TCP/IP Stack. For that right-click on the command prompt and choose Run as Administrator. Then type the command netsh int ip reset c:\restlog.txt and press Enter.

Verify that the operating system is being seen by the network adapter
Check whether Network Adapter appears on Microsoft Windows Manager. See whether the Mini-PCI information table is installed on your network card.

Check the Security and SSID (the network name of the wireless network you are connecting to) settings

Check for a wireless signal having interference/low strength

Verify the updation of wireless router/Access Point firmware is done
Your new firmware updates could solve issues with your wireless router/Access Point. This is more true for your equipment which is a few years old running on the original firmware. To perform an update you need to consult the equipment manufacturer’s product documentation or website for details and instructions.
Vendors will often add features to improve their product of wireless router/Access Points. Unfortunately, with all wireless hardware extra features are not always compatible. Verify whether the proper installation of TCP/IP (or other appropriate protocol) is done
- First, open the Control Panel, then open Network Connections or Network and Sharing Center, then click on Change adapter settings. Check whether the wireless card is present in your Laptop as Wireless Network Connection.
- Right-click on the appropriate Wireless Network Connection by selecting Properties. In Properties make sure that Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) or Internet Protocol Version (TCP/IPv4) is properly installed.
- If TCP/IP is not installed then click on Install, click on Protocol, and then click on TCP/IP.
- Obtain an IP address automatically by obtaining a DNS server address automatically once the TCP/IP is installed and check if is using DHCP. To verify, highlight TCP/IP protocol, and select Properties.
Using diagnostics verify the functioning of hardware
- Check https://support.lenovo.com. Enter on the website by choosing Download Drivers and Software. Then choose download for your system under Diagnostic. Please contact warranty support for resolution if diagnostics fail.
- For third-party wireless card run diagnostics.

Latest Service Packs of Operating System or Network Client should be installed
